About Our Work
Our projects are only as successful as the quality of relationships we build along the way.
Since 2010, we have worked with over a hundred clients, including research institutions, municipalities, music festivals, farmers, community groups, residential homeowners and businesses.
What our clients say
Tayler was very quick to assess the site, our needs and to develop a work agreement that suited us all. We were thoroughly impressed by his practical knowledge of landscape design as well as business professionalism & project management.
The design and installation of our edible landscape solved drainage issues by putting excess water to use in a food-producing ‘blueberry bog’. We witnessed a very high attention to detail and a respect for our needs as clients. The work site was kept tidy and clean between work phases. We are thrilled with our new food producing yard!
Big changes this season at Red Damsel Farm from what I learned at the 'Holistic Water Management' workshop with Hatchet & Seed. Better drainage, better field water retention, hedges and hardstock added to create micro ecosystems. Started small, continuing on with gusto now that I have seen immediate results.
In 2013-14, CRD’s IWMP and CAP worked with Hatchet & Seed on a pilot program, offering a workshop for small scale farmers across the region to learn about how they could apply the concept of Keyline Design on their property. The demand for the workshop outstripped the capacity of the pilot program, demonstrating the need for a working pilot demonstration site. As a result, the CRD retained the skills of Hatchet & Seed to develop and execute a successful pilot project at White House Stables in North Saanich.
